It will just say "Error: Can't open display:" Re-enabling IPv6 fixes the issue but is not desirable as IPv6 support remains unavailable in many areas. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Disable IPv6 on a remote machine 2.ssh -X in from other machine 3.try to run something like xclock Actual Results: You get a Error: Can't open display: message. It seems the problem is that 1) squiggle is running with a SecurityManager (why?); 2) it is asking for a trivial permission, and being denied; 3) it dies, rather than just catching. 3) isn't really a SuSE problem, but I think 1 and 2 might be. Batik has not had a revision since 11.3 before, where these problems did not occur, so I assume the problem is somehow related to the obvious repackaging done for 11.4 (squiggle.sh became xmlgraphics-batik-squiggle at some point...). I don't really have a good guess as to why squiggle should run with a SecurityManager. If it did so in 11.3 too (it is not easy for me to check), perhaps there is a new problem with jar signing (if the signature is invalid, then I guess the SecurityManager will be unhappy)? If not, then the obvious solution is to stop running it with the SM. I will try to take a closer look when I have access to an 11.3 install, but perhaps whoever did the repackaging for 11.4 (and apparently didn't test) has a better idea of what might have changed and how to fix it. If I browse to the USB drive using the command line, I can navigate to the .Trash folder and see the files/folders that I had just deleted and I can delete them this way. Take note that there's no ability to empty the trash. 4. (optional) Using the command line, navigate to /media/Path-to-USB/.Trash and do "ls". You'll see the files that were deleted in step 2. Actual Results: After the steps above were performed to delete the files using Thunar, the disk space was unrecoverable. If I navigated and removed the files using the command line, everything worked fine and the space was useable again. Expected Results: Deleting files using Thunar should allow you to either permanently remove files without adding them to the trash, or move them to the trash with the ability to recover or permanently remove. This makes it extremely difficult to work with the virtual machine as the mouse is quite often not focused on the machine when you need it to be. Pressing <CTRL> G to force grabbing does not change this behavior. If you persist with trying to work with the VM for a period of time, the entire desktop machine seems to loose the meta keys (ie CTRL, ALT etc). So you can't use <CTRL> D for example after closing the VMWare console. If you do this in a konsole session etc, you will see a D on the screen instead of exiting that konsole session. Restarting the DE resolves this. This is reproducable across 2 machines (x86_64 and i386 installs). It is also reproducable using both KDE and Gnome DEs. The exact versions of Firefox used are: MozillaFirefox-3.5.4-1.1.2.x86_64 MozillaFirefox-3.5.4-1.1.2.i586 VMWare version: VMware Infrastructure Web Access Version 2.0.0 Build 128374 However, under Firefox 3.5.5 from the Mozilla website, the virtual machine behavior returns to normal and grabbing releasing input works correctly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Gnome's Start Menu > Logo off Session > Shift user 2.The described window appears. 3. Actual Results: It shift not to a logging screen to start a new session. I can add another layout and have for example USA+Poland layouts. However no matter what order I would set, the default layout remains USA. Each time I log in I have to switch layouts. Message 'Please eject the disc from "xxxx drive" manually. The disc could not be be ejected....' 2. manually ejecting disc and reloading produces "Unable to mount XBMC_Live" message - but it still mounts! Screen shots and brasero log attached. DVD image output is incorrect and does not match the ISO file. Difference between the large file live/filesystem.squashfs Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download XBMC Live Dharma (10.0) 2. Right click ISO file, Burn using Brasero 3.
