Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: carlos.e.r@opensuse.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- The "command line" or "mini-commander" applet (gnome) in 11.4 does not work. When launched it does not appear in the panel. If I launch "/usr/lib/mini_commander_applet" on a terminal, I get a dozen such applets, for all the times I tried, but then I have an xterm tied up. If I launch the same from "alt-f2" it does not work, and gives no error. Classified as "critical" because the applet does not work. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The "command line" or "mini-commander" applet (gnome) in 11.4 does not work.
I found that replacing the 'Exec=' line in /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.gnome.panel.applet.MiniCommanderAppletFactory.service to 'Exec=/usr/lib/mini_commander_applet' resolved the issue for me. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
