The webdavs-server offers me a SSL-certificate, which I accept permanently in Konqueror. In OpenSUSE 11.3 or 11.4 the browsing through the folders or copying of files takes very long. Even if I install the latest updates/patches in 11.4 the problem is still there. In OpenSUSE 11.2 or 10.2 I have no problems (no matter if I install updates/patches or not). We should only have to configure our public NTP Server once in Yast. Again we see that we need to integrate far better into a default KDE Desktop with Yast Currently we have Yast>NTP/Server to set the system time. Next we have Date and Time and Country Settings in KDE's 'System Settings' – Here we must set and apply the Country before setting the Time Server. Both of these actions require escalation of authority to root 'Enter Root Password' which is presented out of focus, but this out of focus window is standard across just about everywhere in KDE. If the user takes too long to establish both country location and selection of time server we have the error attached! Next we have the Digital Clock Widget as part of a standard KDE Installation. Here we must also set Country and time again under Adjust Date and Time – which also calls for the root password and is out of focus Next we have 'Digital Clock Settings' from the same Widget. Here the 'Time Zone' must be entered and the default drop down needs to be changed to the Country Time Zone you have chosen, other wise you still get GMT. I understand the integration of Yast to a KDE Desktop is difficult, and on this occasion I think the 'Systems Settings' should be removed from both Configure Desktop and The default Time Widgets. Just about every popup window that requests the Root Password is out of focus – Do you want me to open a Bug just on that topic alone? This itself is not a very eloquent solution. There are vast numbers of duplication within Yast and 'System Settings' My gut tells me that long term we either get rid of Yast and put it in KDE's System Settings or the other way around – That subject is all yours to solve – I'm not going anywhere near that problem – Its all yours :-) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. (Could somebody please add the maintainer to this bug, I couldn´t find his email). The 6.12.22 crashed some days ago. The problem is that since then there is no possibility to get boinc running again, also in the version from saigil repro. I´ve googled with the result that I´ve found that there is a file called "lockfile" in the Dokument folder, which restrict the call of the boinc client to one. Sometimes this file causes problems, when it is still there after a closing or crashing of boinc. A manual deletion is recommend. In my case it was like this, but a manual deletion causes no success. The boinc client is still unable to run. A manual start of the client from the console give the sring like: Can´t start boinc, because boinc is running. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install the boinc version from this repro 2.wait until a crash happends 3.lay back and look at a not working program Expected Results: A informing of the maintainer of the repro would be great. And suggestions to get my boinc running again would be also great. The camera needs images on it as an empty directory does not crash digiKam. Actual Results: DigiKam crashes Expected Results: digiKam enables downloading images My understanding bug is in libdc1394. We are using NFS (NFSv3 and v4) together with Kerberos (sec=krb5i or sec=krb5p in the options line) I wasn't able configure nfs mount via Yast NFS client, because the standard setting in the file /etc/sysconfig/nfs on the line 31 said NFS_SECURITY_GSS="no". For the Kerberos/NFS identification this has to be set NFS_SECURITY_GSS="yes". Can you add "security gss" button bellow "Enable NFSv4" in the NFS setting part ? For now I edited /etc/sysconfig/nfs manually. But would be nice If I can do this via yast (without manually editing system files) Would be nice too, If there is the the yast/nfs client some warning about /etc/krb5.keytab ticket file: For example : "For security gss you need the /etc/krb5.keytab ticket file too!" If I minimize a window (put it down to the KDE4 tray clicking on the 'Minimize' button in the window frame), I'm unable to restore it again. The window comes up but its content doesn't refresh any more even after resizing it, only a pice of the previous window content is shown in it. If I minimize it by simply clicking the app on the taskbar list, it can be restored, some strange behavior also can be found though: One click in the taskbar on the windows label -> window becomes minimized. Second click in the taskbar on the windows label -> window becomes maximized but lost its focus. Third click in the taskbar on the windows label -> window gets the focus. Doesn't matter if KDE desktop effects are enabled or disabled. I use KDE 4.5.6 installed from the OpenSUSE KDE_SC_45 repo, I have xorg-x11-7.5-11.3.x86_64 installed from the OpenSUSE official repo. I've tried the same application in IceWM and it works well. I appreciate that this is an aesthetic point and that it is probably a design decision made by kde rather than suse but when I installed 11.3 I noticed immediately how ugly many of the icons looked, and I do like my kde desktop to look awesome. Thus, I'd recommend packaging the old set of icons. In addition, the file preview that is displayed in the right-hand "Information" panel when placing the mouse over a text file works in the same way for an ordinary text file and an odt file. However, the preview of the odt file shows the garbled text of the file header (not the readable text of the document) and thus looks ugly and is of no use. I'd recommend replacing the preview of full documents with a pretty icon (the ability to produce a proper preview might consume more resources than necessary). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install 11.3 2. Log in to kde. 3. Open dolphin, look at the icons and gasp. Actual Results: Icons look out of focus and horrible. Expected Results: Icons look cool, sharp and smart, like in 11.2. I've worked around this on my system by renaming the existing "oxygen" folder "oxygen-new" in /usr/share/icons/, then copying the files from my old 11.2 installation found in /usr/share/icons/oxygen to /usr/share/icons/oxygen-old and creating a link called "oxygen" to "oxygen-old" in /usr/share/icons/.
