My users have consistently indicated that they consider this method of managing plugged-in devices/volumes the best of any OS they had previously used and have seemed to actively enjoy using the widget. The single click icon in an easy-to-reach location and pleasantly-sized graphics seem to make a huge difference to their use of the system. Could this widget please be included on the taskbar by default? This is unfortunate for a number of reasons: - Makes startup slower - Having akonadi, mysql etc. running for apparently no reason is unnecessary overhead in general - The akonadi selftest always seems to report scary errors. Wouldn't it be possible to only start akonadi if/when it's actually needed/used?
