I tried to install in a virtual maschine: VMWare Workstation 7.1.0 and also with VirtualBox 3.2.0 The Host operation system is openSUSE 11.2 32 bit on a AMD64 X2 4200. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. During instalation partition setup LVM and crypt enabled 2. Continue with the installation 3. Error message will appear after partions have been created. Actual Results: Error message appears: can't mount dev/swap with message -3030. Build0631 was still OK. http://www3.zq1.de/opensuse/video/openSUSE-NET-x86_64-Build0632a.ogv (on second 1-3) also tried on real hardware (Athlon64, Geforce 6800) using isohybrid openSUSE-NET-x86_64-Build0635-Media.iso and a USB-stick and it had even worse display corruption (a small rectangular part of the background drawn in the wrong place) and also no characters. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. qemu -cdrom openSUSE-NET-i586-Build0636-Media.iso 2. wait until animation is finished 3. press F4 4. press Return 5. press Backspace Actual Results: all characters in current input field turn to asterisk (*). Booting does still work, if you get the value right without seeing it. OTOH, perl-Authe-SASL is only 88kB and perl-Net-SMTP-SSL is only 5kB installed size, so it should do no harm. I found this bug described in http://kerneltrap.org/mailarchive/git/2008/1/10/554171 And installing the module by $ perl -MCPAN -e 'install Net::SMTP::SSL' helped me. Maybe there was simplier way using YaST2. Hope this will be any helpful. After that the send-email ends with Need MIME::Base64 and Authen::SASL todo auth at /usr/lib/git/git-send-email line 949. So I installed perl-Authen-SASL and perl-MIME-Base64 and then git send-email worked well.
