Killing Kontact and starting it from konsole gives lot of messages and then this one repeated endlessy: kontact(3604)/libakonadi Akonadi::SessionPrivate::socketError: Socket error occurred: "QLocalSocket::connectToServer: Invalid name" KMail/KAddressBook/other components themselves start and work okay. If I start KMail or KAddressBook (or any other Kontakt's component) individually and then close it (exit from app, not close to systray) - then I'll be able to start Kontact as expected. During a network installation on HP Compaq 6005 SFF desktop the installation process intermittently stops and only resumes after a key is pressed on the usb keyboard. I've noticed that it happens only during network activity (loading initial stages and package installation). This particular desktop has HPET enabled, but I had to blacklist the hpet module to get it to get past Loading drivers stage. On average, during a standard KDE desktop install, the installation needs to be prodded about 10-15 times. Obviously an unattended install becomes somewhat problematic. As a workaround, after each failed search, one can manually add all the checkboxes for the other namespaces, and try again. this works. I also tried the search tab in my preferences, and added checked all namespaces there. this appears to have no effect.
