Agreed, those dependencies are not set, but since Factory uses pkgconfig to

hello,
i have an ati x700 radeon mobility card. and i've tried m7 kde live-cd.
when the system is up there is only a black screen. i have tried out runlevel 3
and grub parameter: radeon.modeset=1 and when the system is up, the radeon
driver isn`t loaded. but when i load it, and run into runlevel 5, than it work.
It doesn`t work with: radeon.modeset=0

1. grub without parameters x crashes and the console is displayed
2. grub with runlevel 3 and radeon.modeset=0 and after bootup load driver
radeon, run into RL5 doesn`t work
3.grub with runlevel 3 and radeon.modeset=1 and after bootup load driver radeon
run into RL5 everythings fine!

"Checking for updates..." endlessly.

The FW rpm iwl3945-ucode is not existing in the (64Bit) install DVD. During
Yast-Network configuration, Yast tries to install that package but fails.
Searching on http://software.opensuse.org/search gives
http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/noarch/iwl3945-ucode-15.…
as location, but this rpm is not existing. It also seems that the same issue
applies to iwl6945-ucode.

The align-check command of parted should report whether a partiton is aligned
or not (see the info page of parted), but it reports noting instead.

3. Try to query the alignement info of a partition like 'align-check opt 1'

I just installed M7 on a laptop from the Net (SLP/DHCP) and I ended up with the
traditional networking method. I disabled firewall. Then I enabled NIS and
automounter and it worked as usual.
Then I switched to NetworkManager using yast. NIS (and automounter) no longer
works. NetworkManager rewrote resolve.conf and it looks fine, IMO (I'm
supressing the actual addresses):
