PC is on a home LAN. When connect with PCManFM to other PCs using "sftp://ip-address" and then navigate (by clicking on the home icon) to /home one gets two errors: (1) host name not known and (2) the specified location is not known. These two errors are believed due to the sftp address being changed when "home" is clicked on to: sftp://ip-addresshome (ie no " / " between ip-address and home ). As a good protice, our SLES 10 SP2 boxes are configured like this: eth0 |-bonding->vlan->bridge eth1 On my box I don't use bonding so I have tried eth0 -> vlan -> bridge And it does not work at all. eth0 -> vlan2 works (vlan attached to eth0) eth0 -> br0 works (bridge attached to eth0) but as soon as I try to attached the bridge to the vlan interface, it fail (I can't ping the gateway) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install opensuse 11.2 with xen 2. Configure vlanx to use eth0 3. configure brdge br0 to use vlan interface Actual Results: No ping to the gateway I don't know if it is a bug. But I could be very nice if I could have some information about why this setup does not work in OS 11.2 even if it works on a SLES 10 SP2 box. Upon boot, the taskbar/panel is present, as is the coloured screen. However the desktop icons do not show. If one clicks on PCMan File Manager on the panel/taskbar, the icons on the desktop immediately appear (hence its a VERY EASY work around). It does work on KDE. I'm not sure if hotplug automounting is a nominal feature of LXDE desktop, but if it is, then this bug report is applicable. I tried different memory sticks (all of which worked in KDE) and not would hot plug automount. It is possible to manually mount via mount command. Beside the constricted usage of v4l2convert.so for e.g. normal shells and system programs like mount and ls this makes on systems having a own /usr partition that the /usr is busy during shutdown! Compare with bug #486710 IMHO this is a no-go and should be fixed not only for 11.1 and SLES11 but also for factory.
