However, pvmove works by creating of an (temporary) dm_mirror which cannot be startet from the initrd since the module dm_mirror is missing. As an workaround, one can download an rescue-Image. But IMHO, this should work with the "normal" initrd. When running xrdp on openSUSE 11.1 as server and connecting by rdesktop from a client machine running openSUSE 11.1 and selecting the Desktop KDE4 from the xrdp login panel, the Xwindow that starts in the client is not a KDE4 window. Instead it is a black screen with an inset bearing the following sentence: "KDE seems to be already running on this display." This is a duplicate of this bug reported earlier for openSUSE 11.2 alpha: 482399 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=482399 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.run this command from an openSUSE 11.1 client: rdesktop -z servername 2. supply credentials for the default KDE4 desktop 3. I'm reporting this duplicate of a bug from alpha 11.2 in case ppl think xrdp works in openSUSE 11.1 serving a KDE4 desktop. It hasn't worked since 11.1 was released, to the present. There is a workaround until the bug is fixed: Don't install xrdp RPM from /dreveman:/nomad/openSUSE_11.1 Don't install the RPMs for xorg-x11-server-dmx and xorg-x11-server-rdp from repo-oss Do install the xrdp RPM supplied from "update server", currently xrdp-0.4.1-16.7.1 Do install the RPMs for xorg-x11-server-dmx and xorg-x11-server-rdp from factory currently /dreveman:/nomad/openSUSE_11.1 This mixture works at today's date 22 May. After rebooting pidgin does not start anymore. Output: Pidgin 2.5.1 has segfaulted and attempted to dump a core file. This is a bug in the software and has happened through no fault of your own. I notice the following line of code if (not(fn = malloc(sizeof(*fn)))) but I fail to notice a matching call to free. Also, I notice that fn->node isn't initialised, but it is used as a parameter to dl_insert_last. The Help for just about all AppArmor screen, in particular the help on "Add Profile Wizard, is informative but lacks realistic examples and its hard to read - Its a bit like reading 'BIND ' In the Add Profile Wizard is is possible to create the application 'test' and the 'browse button browses the root of the directory structure. The AppArmor 'Profile Repository setup' from the 'Add Profile Wizard' offers a Dialogue Window, with no associated help on the window and can only be switched between "create a new user" and "login as a registered user" or "Cancel" without any explanation nor clarification. If the "Cancel" button is used to close the "register or login window" it closes to a blank screen with the mid of the whole process not being completed with "Next" where upon the Add Profile Wizard closes.
