This behavior annoys the heck out of me over and over again! As in, regardless if I have a working network atm or not, IF I choose "Don't touch my internet connection" I expect & want it to respect my decision and not to do what it wants. Further it's a total waste of time which I simply would like to be able to avoid once again. So please fix that check. This is documented here: http://en.opensuse.org/Packaging/Patches I suggest to create a simple RPMlint check which does the following: ("patch lines" are the lines in spec preamble which match "^Patch.*:") * checks if any of the patch lines contain %version or %{version} macro * checks if any of the patch lines have missing patch comment on the previous line * checks if all of the patch comments match this regexp: ^# PATCH-\{FIX\|FEATURE\}-\{OPENSUSE\|SLE\|UPSTREAM\} .*\.patch .* .*@.*\..* If the spec does not follow these points a warning with a link to the wiki should be emitted. No error message is displayed, but when entering configuration dialog again, firewall port is disabled again. Also connection from outside not possible. Using firewall configuration dialoge for opening UDP port 69 is a workaround for getting tftp service up and runnign propperly. YasT2 logs added as attachment. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Use YasT2 tftp configruation dialog for setting up tftp service (make sure that o'open firewall' is enabled. 2.After clicking OK, firewall port is still closed. 3. Actual Results: Firewall port is not opened propperly. Also, dvd-ram-control says dvd-ram-control -rdwr /dev/cdrom The disc is unprotected already. So, although the disc appears to be unprotected, and 'mount' says it is mounted rw, it is in fact mounted read only. Either 'mount' should say it is mounted 'ro' or you should be able to write to it. Neither is the case, which is a bug. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Put DVD RAM with UDF filesystem in drive. 2. mount -t udf -o rw,noatime,async /dev/sr0 /media/cdrom 3. touch /media/cdrom/a Actual Results: The 'touch' command fails, but should not. Expected Results: A file /media/cdrom/a should be written. Re-making the file system on the DVD with mkudffs --media-type=dvdram /dev/sr0 fixes the DVD-RAM and 'touch /media/cdrom/a' succeeds. However all I get is an empty OO instance although there should be several, i.e. several documents opened. Log in to KDE Actual Results: Empty OO is opened. OK next thing I try is to look for help re Gnucash in Yelp. There's no entry for Gnucash in Yelp. Reproducible: Always I need to run a business so for me it's Major. I don't really want to run Quickbooks in a VMware machine again. Why does this not get fixed after appearing in the past editions of openSUSE. The reasoning is that the zypp folks claim that "vendor stickiness" should be enough but it doesn't really help if the whole OBS is one single vendor. Personally I would prefer some "Smart" style where I am able to set different priorities for repositories __as well as packages__ but since this wont happen the only solution seems to be to enable different vendors per repository on OBS. E.g. simply use the repo names - home:bitshuffler for my own one or openSUSE:Factory or KDE:KDE4:Communtiy and so on. The reasoning is that I would like to be able to get packages for some application from a certain repository.
