It can't be stopped by doing anything. Looks like system totally freezes. Can't do ALT+Backspace, reboot or open other terminals. The only option left is to hard reboot the system. I don't think this can be problem with laptop keyboard as it is not same key and doesn't happen every time. I suspect X & kde4. As today in same day I could reproduce this issue twice and in same manner. Both time it occurred as soon as I quit kmail(once using kquitapp kamil command & once using quit from system tray kmail icon. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open kmail. 2.Let it download new mails. 3.Quit kmail. 4. Click application launcher and type kmail in search field. Actual Results: It should show search results in application launcher. Expected Results: It keeps printing "l" and doesn't stop. If I move focus to other application, it prints "l" there. Now a normal user wants to update KDE 3.5.9 from 11.0 to KDE 3.5.10 from KDE:KDE3 and uses "zypper -v up -t package" or "zypper -v dup". He will end with kdemultimedia3 from KDE 3.5.10, that was built against libakode-2.0.2-148.12... but with libakode-2.0.2-151.1. Not sure where the fix should go, so I CC zypp-maintainers. pd. Smart will downgrade the packages if KDE:KDE3 has a higher priority than the official repo. pd2. Starting from 4.2.0 build 85 (up to the current 4.2.1) the quicklauncher plasmoid "misbehaves". It is running in my bottom-panel (and the panel is somewhat stretched height-wise) on the far left. Next to it I have the pager, then the task-manager and finally the device notifier and the systray. The quicklauncher is configured to use three rows and a maximum of 30 visible icons. The height of my panel is enough to easily discern three rows of icons. Prior to build 85, there was no problem in having say 20 icons showing. Now, however, I can't add more than three (as many as the rows configured). Or rather: I can add as many as I like but the icons are shrinked so much that they're essentially one pixel each. What I think is happening is that the plasmoid does no longer expand its size to accomodate the number of icons. Instead, the icons have no choice but to shrink to make room for the others. Note too that the problem goes away if I remove the task-manager.
