Example: gitk-1.6.0.2-6.12.1.i586 needs "tk >= 8.4", but there is no tk on the DVD The only available option is not to install "gitk". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install from retail DVD without ever being online 2. Try to install "gitk" when you have no network Actual Results: gitk fails dependency checking; you cannot install Expected Results: A set of resolvable dependencies on DVD. So when the system ask me to configure my network parameters I meet some problems. Network does not work. I have two computers one of them have stable network connection and configured routing and NAT and other connected to it by second network card. IP address of computer that have two cards 10.3.227.2 I use this address as default gateway for second computer. After installation I have configured network by usual pass and it works fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Configure my network card, declare IP address 10.3.227.1, two DNS and default gateway 2. Press save and Next buttons 3. Try to update from network, check for network connection faild. Actual Results: After this I have routing table where default gateway was 0.0.0.0 but I declare it as 10.3.227.2, so network should not work without this parameter. I have observed that I declare Find Server but I have no this and I tryed to delete it, but Yast did not save corrected information. My system seems locked up for any I/O. Open SSH shells don't respond, file I/O is suspended, keyboard input does not stop screen saver. However, intrinsic operations such as TCP/IP seem to work (system responds to pings). This worked fine with SuSE 10.3, with kernel 2.6.22.19-0.1-bigsmp, BTW. The system was upgraded to openSUSE 11.1 with 2.6.27 and froze up 4 times in 48 hours with moderate file I/O. This is a condition which I have seen from time to time when the kernel internal crypto APIs have changed. Devicemapper seems to be very prone to these conditions, even more so if multiple layers of DM-devices stack up.
