OpenSuse 11 installs and works well (I execute dmadm -a y during the installation). In OpenSuse installer this doesn't work. Execution of 'modprobe dm-raid45 && dmraid -a y' was completed, but with error 'dos: partition address pas end of RAID device' and logical partitions wasn't mapped. 'dmraid -s' on working opensuse 11 and opensuse 11.1 installer is differ. OS 11 . Size: 1953536512 OS 11.1. PROBLEM: After switching from scim-panel-gtk to scim-panel-kde, two instances of SCIM are running simultaneously but independently, one apparently on the user level, the other on the administrator level. This overlap results in text input problems (e.g. unable to input text in OpenOffice.org as long as both instances are running). Trying to shut down one instance (the root-level one, since this one isn't changed to SKIM by switching the panel program) doesn't work as it is restarted automatically shortly afterwards. The problem first arose with nvidia drivers, and a bunch of the following message in the X log file: EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop. So I switched to nv. While I do not see these messages anymore, X is tying up one of my CPU core at 100%. Nothing much in the Xorg log file: scoomoon:/var/log # grep '(EE)' Xorg.0.log (WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown. (EE) Failed to initialize GLX extension (Compatible NVIDIA X driver not found) Please let me know what can be done. Thanks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Just be in init 5 or startx. PROBLEM: On a new openSUSE installation, the SCIM panel program scim-panel-gtk is activated by default. However, it's setup dialog doesn't provide an option to switch to scim-panel-kde, and trying to start up SKIM doesn't work. WORKAROUND: The shell command 'skim -d -f' can force SKIM to start (and SKIM allows customization of the panel program), but this doesn't seem to be the optimal solution as it leaves other problems (I usually get too instances of SCIM running at the same time, one at the user, the other at the root level). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. (On every new openSUSE installation.) Expected Results: Either, SKIM needs to be activated by default in new openSUSE installations, or SCIM needs to include a dialog that allows switching the panel program. I had added the project in the web interface; checked it out (empty) and copied the files in here. I wanted to test it before committing; so I did: $ osc build SUSE:SLE-11:GA i586 kernel-source-moblin.spec Building kernel-source-moblin.spec for SUSE:SLE-11:GA/i586 Overriding config value for build-root='/var/tmp/build-root' with '/var/tmp/build-root-2' Getting buildinfo from server Server returned an error: HTTP Error 500: Internal Server Error I got 6x of these Internal Server Errors back to back. I assume - this means I can't build without committing. I noticed this and even though I choose "All in this list, upgrade to newest version..." the automatically chosen dependencies *still* don't get upgraded. I have to make a *second* run to get those deps.
