Most distributions do this. It really helps when you run multiple shells at a time, because otherwise your history gets overwritten by the last shell running. If you have "histappend" enabled, all of the new history gets appended to the bash history file. enable by running... # shopt -s histappend Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. login with shell 1 2. login with shell 2 3. type a command in shell 1 4. log out of shell 1 5. type a different command in shell 2 6. log out of shell 2 Actual Results: only the history of shell 2 gets saved to ".bash_history", and you lose the commands you ran in shell 1. This makes it required to manually add the include statement before the user can set NETCONFIG_DNS_FORWARDER="bind" (MODIFY_NAMED_CONF_DYNAMICALLY=yes before). The attached patch adds the include statement and adopts the forwarders comments in /etc/named.conf. Further, the init script should make a "touch /etc/named.d/forwarders.conf" when the /etc/named.d/forwarders.conf does not exist, as it does for the /etc/named.conf.include file in home:ug:Factory/bind... The above file is missing in RC1. I noticed it when attempting to install DNS. Afterward it also complained about it when trying to install DHCP. Simply adding the file manually made the problem go away so I'd say it's an easy fix for someone before this goes Gold Master. There isn't physical switch but on Vista there is an keywords combo that start an application that switch on or off the card by software. But it turned out that vsftpd in runlevel 3 AND 5 were BOTH enabled. Actually, this is the case for all the services - when the check box of one runlevel is checked, the service will be enabled in ALL the runlevels which is supposed to be "Default-Start" . So I would like to make sure if this is designed to work like this or this is really a bug. And if it is designed to be so, I still hope I can enable/disable a system service in a single runlevel. I think this will happen in all openSUSE11.1 machines and is easy to reproduce, so I don't offer the yast's log, but if you really need that, please tell me. Thank you.
