This looks like a memory leak to me. This apply repeatably under certain conditions. ie not in every situations, but in one situation it happen all the time (and I have found MANY cases). ps shows: hub 12138 4.9 63.9 1702672 482660 pts/4 D+ 01:25 0:16 | \_ gdb /gnote 1702672 is the VSS 482660 is the RSS As a comparison, I only have 768MB or RAM on this machine. It should be noted that the executable is built with -O0 to deal properly with C++ inlining. Also, I'm on 32-bits Intel. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install VirtualBox 2. Create new virtual machine 3. This looks like a memory leak to me. Suggest add call to free near the end of the block. 2. function init_v4l2 I notice the following code setfps=(struct v4l2_streamparm *) calloc(1, sizeof(struct v4l2_streamparm)); but I fail to notice any matching call to free.
