One example of this is messagebus, viz egrep messagebus /etc/passwd /etc/group /etc/passwd:messagebus:x:100:101:User for D-Bus:/var/run/dbus:/bin/false /etc/group:messagebus:!:103: Adding a 'gid' tag to group section in groups corrects this problem, eg: <group> <group_password>x</group_password> + <gid>100</gid> <groupname>users</groupname> <userlist></userlist> </group> Additionally, you need to verify that the group ids in the user section match the group ids in the group section. I looked for the groups section in the autoyast documentation, but did not find it, but I did not do an exhaustive search. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install system 2. I am using KDE 4.2.4 and kernel 2.6.27.21 on an IBM X60s Thinkpad. I have set the KDE power management to lock my screen after 5 mins of inactivity and to s2disk (if using battery) or s2ram (if on power) if I close the lid. I have noticed that if the screen is locked and I close the lid the laptop does not s2disk nor s2ram. S2disk and s2ram work properly if the screen is not locked. The machine is a kvm instance. Beim Start mit der VGA - Auflösung oder textbasirte Install. sieht man nach dem Kernelstart einen Screen voll acpi-Meldungen die bei folgenden Eintrag abbrechen: 0.188001 [< ffffffff8100d6ca child_rip+0xa/0x20>] Habe bios geflasht, DVD auf dem Notebook getestet und opensuse 11.2. ohne Probleme installieren können, dann das Gleiche mit 11.2. milestone7 probiert - selber Effekt. Am berteffenden Rechner habe ich alle bisherigen Suseversionen installieren können. Suse puppet package maintainer has added a zypper provider (good thing). The zypper provider uses "-y" option to install software in non interactive mode (good too). But if I install a new repository via puppet and I install some packages from it the installation fails because zypper refuse automatically the gpg key. The option --no-gpg-checks should be added to let puppet do its work. Obviously the system administrator checks the gpg key in separate testing server so he is sure that the packages are not infected when he then does mass install with puppet. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.add a new repository via puppet. 2.install a package using puppet. Actual Results: puppet refuse key and then it does not install package. BTW zypper produces a lot of logs. Because puppet tries forever the installation (due to zypper failing) it quickly fills /var/log blocking suse.
