Step to reproduce (11.1 on 32/64 bit arch): 1. repos: dvd is set with the highest priority and no DVD is in drive OR only network repos (e.g. download.opensuse.org) but not network connection (or disabled) 2. installation xen over the yast virtualization modul 3. error is caused by missing package resource (not available through step 1.) 4. press "cancel" for all packages 5. It will dump a bunch of output to the terminal with a final message that reads: "Got a SIGSEGV while executing native code. This usually indicates a fatal error in the mono runtime or one of the native libraries used by your application." This never happens when exiting from Media > Quit. Using the Media > Quit method does not randomly freeze up the application, either. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Banshee from a terminal (banshee-1) 2. Go to Media > Quit 3. View output in the terminal (clean, no errors) 3. Launch Banshee from a terminal (banshee-1) 4. Click on the X in the upper-right corner 5. View output in the terminal (lots of verbose information and an error message) Actual Results: The terminal will output a bunch of cryptic messages, with a final message that reads: "Got a SIGSEGV while executing native code. This usually indicates a fatal error in the mono runtime or one of the native libraries used by your application." Sometimes Banshee will freeze and a Force-Quit is required to close it. This does not appear to be the case when exiting via Media > Quit Expected Results: Banshee should simply close gracefully, regardless of which button is pressed to exit the application. This is a clean installation of openSUSE 11.2 i586 (not an upgrade), and it is using the official repositories (Banshee is installed via the Oss repository). I even removed the Banshee config folders (no music in the library, default settings) but it made no difference. Including user homes! When I do cvs checkout in $HOME/test, it says something like: cvs [checkout aborted]: could not chdir to /indirect/rawdata/myuser/test: No such file or directory In this case rawdata is an automounted nfs folder. The strange part is that it picks a random share. i.e. sometimes it says instead: cvs [checkout aborted]: could not chdir to /indirect/local/myuser/test: No such file or directory or cvs [checkout aborted]: could not chdir to /indirect/data1/myuser/test: No such file or directory Ofcause it cannot find the directories because the shall not be there. Sometimes it works as it should!!! Not that random means that it chooses the same directory not to find for some time. Then after say 10 minutes it is another one and after 10 more it works normally. I cannot find any correlation with the number of automounted nfs shares and when it is working. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. cd $HOME/test 2. cvs co somemodule Actual Results: cvs [checkout aborted]: could not chdir to /indirect/RANDOMDIR/myuser/test: No such file or directory Expected Results: sucessfull checkout. Can not select the iec958 device within Banshee. I only have audio on the default analog device such as to head phones, or analog out. When using gstreamer I get the desired result gstreamer plays the audio through the iec958 device. I am unable to select the proper device with Banshee. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start Banshee 2.select ogg for play 3.no sound Actual Results: No sound playback with iec 958 device. No spdif output, or sound from Banshee. Expected Results: Should use gstreamer as default with default settings which in this case would be playback device set to iec958. gst-launch-0.10 filesrc location="Take a Picture.ogg" ! oggdemux ! vorbisdec ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! osssink This will output music to the default device which is set to iec958 spdif output.
