This seems to be bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188554 which is resolved as upstream, which means in this case an openSUSE bug. According to comment 4 in the above bug this crash is related to lcms and the patched version for openSUSE 11.1, see https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=487589 I attach the backtrace, I received. My guess: 1. "Sending SIGTERM to all processes" does not affect kthreads 2. kthread holds a ref to /var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs. 3. Thus umount failed. How could this be addressed? Always calling `rcnfsserver stop` on shutdown is the quick hack I have been doing in halt.local so far. Not only is this very annoying, this also increases the server load, given my project is pretty big.
