However, it doesn't work quite right. If you right-click and paste, it works. If you Shift+Insert, it does not work. However, Shift+Insert works for other copy'n'paste needs, so it should also work with URLs where Copy Link Address was used. The playback of mp4-Files and flv-Files via vlc starts in acceptable quality, but after minutes (or even seconds) the sound begins to stutter. This effect gets worse over the time. After a logout and a new login (or a reboot) it is better for a little while. These sound problems are not to be observed within the KDE-, fwvm- or Windowmaker-windowmanagers. There vlc and all games work fine. I studied all log files I can think of - I haven't discovered any hint to the problem. Please let me know, which data you need. Thank you! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install gnome as default (with gdm) 2.Start any sound application, e.g. solarwolf or vlc 3.Sound stuttering shows up after minutes/seconds; this is getting worse until the session is closed Actual Results: It is possible (but I'm guessing here) that skipping and jumping between songs within vlc might accelerate the sound quality deterioration. I am, hovewer, quite sure that the problem has nothing to do with the system load (I started several appications within KDE - no problem there). Changing these options no longer work. It worked up to 11.1 but not in 11.2 RC1. The specific option being changed is the shortname option. It is extremely important that this because not being able to set shortname=mixed makes collaborating with other operating systems via a FAT32 (common denominator with Linux, Windows and Mac) drive incredibly difficult. Open the gconf editor. Its installed by default, but install it first if that is not the case. 2. It is normally in the system tools section of your Gnome desktop menu. 3. Navigate through the hierarchy of folders to: /system/storage/default_options/vfat 4. On the right, open the mount options. 5. Change the value of shortname=lower to shortname=mixed. 6. Click Accept and close the gconf editor. 7. Unmount and remount all FAT32 devices. 8. Reboot and try again (still does not work). Actual Results: Nothing changes. Filename case is not honored. Example: DSCF0001.JPG shows up as dscf0001.jpg Expected Results: Accessing a FAT32 volume should show the actual case for all filenames. Particularly, ALL CAPS filenames should show up as ALL CAPS. Example: DSCF0001.JPG should show up as such. Note: I am not certain about the component. I put Basesystem but it could be Kernel instead. Quit from F-Spot 4. Open Nautilus and in the Side Pane -> Places click on the camera icon Actual Results: I am getting the attached error message Expected Results: Open and browse the camera If I chose "Open Folder" in the dialog, I can browse the camera using Nautilus. In Nautilus, clicking on "Open F-Spot" open F-Spot and it works well. This seems not to work in my office environment (to complex proxy setup for PK.. pity. we use PAC files). Nevertheless, PK pops up a message in the morning that it can't refresh the Repos. The dialog has a 'confirm' button which just ends up in 'locking' the app completely. So clicking it away is not possible (or almost never. it happens actually to disappear sometimes). OK next thing I try is to look for help re Gnucash in Yelp. There's no entry for Gnucash in Yelp. Reproducible: Always I need to run a business so for me it's Major. I don't really want to run Quickbooks in a VMware machine again. Why does this not get fixed after appearing in the past editions of openSUSE. This is likely because the 'gnucash-docs' package is not installed" Quick checks: % rpm -q gnucash gnucash-2.2.9-3.4.x86_64 % rpm -q gnucash-docs gnucash-docs-2.2.0-177.3.noarch Spot checking files from rpm -ql gnucash-docs shows that they are indeed present. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start gnucash from kde menu for first time. 2. Select new user tutorial from initial splash screen (when using it for first time). OR 1. start gnucash from kde menu. 2. select help->contents or help->tutorial and concepts guide.
