But afterwards when browing away from the PDF acroread is still using quite some CPU (around 40% here, but somehow perceived as it was much more by jumping mouse cursor and so on). Killing the acroread process with SIGTERM stops the CPU usage but doesn't kill the process completely. Only SIGKILL really stops it. (Not even closing Firefox ends the process). A tcpdump -e shows the data on the vlan but it is not recognized. While this is a good thing to do a first test, it becomes annoying when the server goes productive with "real" certificates. Deleting the Snakeoil certificates isn't an option, because they will come back with the next security update of apache. Please move the Snakeoil certificates to a subpackage like apache2-example-certificates. However, with a Chinese IM on, it seems that every time I press a key, an IMEnd signal is sent. For instance, with pinyin on, I press "wo" in order to form a char query, it strangely runs into this way(from shell): sending IMStart with 0 chars to 0x9fdce0 sending IMCompose to 0x9fdce0 with 1 chars, cpos=0, sellen=1, text=我 sending IMCompose to 0x9fdce0 with 1 chars, cpos=1, sellen=0, text=我 sending IMEnd with 0 chars to 0x9fdce0, text= sending IMStart with 0 chars to 0x9fdce0 sending IMCompose to 0x9fdce0 with 1 chars, cpos=0, sellen=1, text=哦 sending IMCompose to 0x9fdce0 with 1 chars, cpos=1, sellen=0, text=哦 sending IMEnd with 0 chars to 0x9fdce0, text= And there will be no char to be display in Kbabel. The simple module still works, but then, easy configuration is not possible. Symtom is that a number of scim-helper-manager and scim-launcher processes sit around, and wait for a futex, which is never released. Killing the scim-launcher and scim-helper-manager processes cures the problem for the currently running applications, but newly started applications also need manual killing of the scim-launcher processes.
