It does work on Firefox however. But I prefer Konqueror. BTW, I don't see an easy way to change my homepage (which is set to opensuse.org by default) on Konqueror 4. Maybe I'm missing something. In actual use, the command takes you to Extras. I can get around this by tabbing over to the right place in the interface instead of using alt-combinations. Obviously pressing Ctrl+E will can only select one of the two. Start with a VPN configuration (I'm using the NetworkManager-novellvpn stuff) 2. Go into the "Configure VPN" dialog. Select one configuration, and click the "Edit" button. 3. Rename that VPN configuration. I renamed mine from "Novell VPN" to "Novell VPN (Provo)" 4. Exit the VPN configuration dialog. 5. nm-applet prints a warning to the console (invisible in the GUI): "couldn't get 'name' item from GConf". This happens as it tried to fetch /system/networking/vpn_connections/Novell@32@VPN - the old name of the configuration, instead of the new one. Along the way, NetworkManager itself seems to get very confused. After deleting all my GConf keys under /system/networking/vpn_connections, I had to kill NM, restart it, and re-define my VPN settings.
