With its last version update a change was reverted which made it not appear in the menu. Notice the three lines inserted in the middle of the definition? I have compared the file with the original in my 10.2 system, preserved in the backup, and I can conclude that it was the upgrade to 10.3 made by YAST who inserted those three lines in there. He told me that scim works fine on all other apps but it stopped working for pidgin suddenly and he had to restart pidgin to get it working with scim again. I just hit this w/ gnome-panel (the search input area in add to panel dialog) too. It's very strange. shift-space (Korean input toggle) doesn't do anything. It's like there's no IM attached. Just English inputs. Selecting Korean from the SCIM applet doesn't make any difference either. However, if I input some characters using SCIM Input Pad, they go to the previous window which had focus. Another interesting thing is that if I right click in the input area and change the IM to SCIM instead of SCIM bridge, it works again. This happens only occasionally so I'll try to keep the panel running. Fabian, this one falls in your turf too, right? (I know that it probably wasn't designed to be running there, but as some of the KDE/GNOME applets can run on the other desktop, I considered it worth a try). The reason that I found and solved through the textconsole: I had achieved an /home/martin/.ICEauthority directory with root as the owner! Easy enough to solve. This is really stopper for me. I'm trying to switch from Windows Vista. After reopening yast-isdn it says the card is not configured.
