When I disable the SCSI subsystem in the BIOS of my Dell Precision 650 PC (leaving the ATA subsystem active), I have no problems with the installation. Alas I absolutely need my SCSI disk! This is already handled in a similar way with the YaST installer, and of course I can directly use rpm, but then it won't be able to solve dependencies. If it's on a HTTP/FTP site, then it should download the RPM, then try to solve dependencies and install it.
