First, I could not install it, it gave an error message similar to the one below. I managed to install it after resetting the ZMD cache with these commands (found in the internet some time ago while searching for another error): killall zen-updater /etc/init.d/novell-zmd stop rm -f /var/lib/zmd/zmd.db /etc/init.d/novell-zmd start zen-updater & After this, I could install Acrobat 8.1.2, and it worked fine. Yesterday, an update to 8.1.2-1.4 showed up, and this one shows this error message: Unresolved dependencies: Updating acroread-8.1.2-1.2.i586[System packages] to acroread-8.1.2-1.4.i586[SUSE-Linux-10.2-Updates] Updating patch:acroread-4982-0.noarch[System packages] to patch:acroread-5041-0.noarch[SUSE-Linux-10.2-Updates] Establishing atom:acroread-8.1.2-1.4.i586[SUSE-Linux-10.2-Updates] There are no installable providers of libicudata.so.34 for acroread-8.1.2-1.4.i586[SUSE-Linux-10.2-Updates] acroread-8.1.2-1.2.i586[System packages] provides libicuuc.so.34, but is scheduled to be uninstalled. acroread-8.1.2-1.2.i586[SUSE-Linux-10.2-Updates] provides libicuuc.so.34, but another version of that package is already installed. Can't satisfy requirement libicuuc.so.34 for acroread-8.1.2-1.4.i586[SUSE-Linux-10.2-Updates] atom:acroread-8.1.2-1.4.i586[SUSE-Linux-10.2-Updates] needed by patch:acroread-5041-0.noarch[SUSE-Linux-10.2-Updates] Installing atom:acroread-8.1.2-1.4.i586[SUSE-Linux-10.2-Updates] acroread-8.1.2-1.4.i586[SUSE-Linux-10.2-Updates] provides acroread == 8.1.2-1.4, but is scheduled to be uninstalled. For instance the software installer can work on a slow network connection for minutes, every once in a while making a new popup for the progress stealing the focus. This is against Gnome HIG and also extremely irritating behaviour. On top of that they can at worst cause security problems as they steal the focus when you are ie. typing your password on an other window. (At least I browse constantly while these tools are doing their work and have ended up typing my text into the Yast2's dialogs...) This should really not happen. No application should ever steal the focus. It has always worked fine when using the susetags metadata. Expected behaviour - upgrade should be possible with rpm-md as well as susetags. If I boot with the the wireless network disabled via the radio killswitch, NetworkManager will spam /var/log/NetworkManager with ten messages per minute. Then, if I enable and disable the network via the killswitch again, the messages stop. This looks similar to Bug #310509 but the messages are different. This switch and the bug also happens on suspend/resume.
