However opensuseupdater does not - with tcpdump I can see it tries to access the proxy, the proxy responds with "407 Proxy Authentication Required" upon which updater sends "Proxy-Authorization: Basic Og==" (where Og== is colon ":" in base64). It looks like the opensuseupdater knows it should use username and password for the proxy but fails to know these credentials. The new dual core CPU's i.e. from Intel return PHYS = 1 and PROC = 2, as we have one IC containing two CPU's. The first line in "start" tests for $PHYS -gt 1 || $PROC -gt 1 -a $PHYS -eq 0. The latter seems meaningless to me as $PHYS will never ever be equal to 0. Therefore the script does not work on my system (dual core, but single IC). Please assign this bug to sf(a)suse.de as he did the last modifications on the rpm. It would be great if there would be more profiles in the Gnome Power Manager, like a profile for "Presentations" where the screensaver and monitor power function is disabled. So you can setup your notebook for a presentation with just one click.
