The remainder of your configuration doesn't show anything spurious, but I'm running out of ideas as well (I followed this bug a long time). Obviously something must be different to our configuration, because nobody here at SuSE could reproduce this so far. This applies to me on all hardware tested (I have no USB keyboards) no matter what login is used. The compiler said pxlib/paradox.c(2001): warning #592: variable "data" is used before its value is set The source code is char *data; if(0 < PX_get_data_bytes(pxdoc, &data[offset], pxf->px_flen, &data)) { I agree with the compiler. &data[offset] makes no sense when data contains random data. The left shift is for about 263. OTOH, I cannot reproduce this myself. Right now I don't have any clue what the difference actually is that makes this happen for some, and not for most others. I have exactly the same keyboard section as you have. Can you please try logging in as a newly created user (or root) and check whether the same behavior exists?
