I suspect the /sbin/resume binary is responsible for changing the loglevel. If booted with the 'quiet' cmdline option, all sort of stuff is printed to the system console, even in the non-resume case. Maybe network manager should restart ypbind and autofs once it has all infos. After the install was done, 3.2G on the root partition were used. An user is not allowed to create files there. yast gave no obvious hint that the default partition proposal will have not enough space for the selected patterns.
