Using the Yast traditional network card configuration with add a "module" rt61pci ifup comes with the error: command 'iwconfig wlan0 nick linux-gxu0' returned Error for wireless request "Set Nickname" (8B1C): SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported. Assuming a newbie knows where to look..... As most other CD/DVD etc connect to /media, why not to link the download directory to /media/bluetooth? This eliminates the posibility of providing the users with the NCL or many of the other benifiets of Novell's product line. With the new definition of LTSP5 moving directly into Ubunto, Debain, and Fedora Novell\SUSE need to move QUICKLY to rectify this ommision in order to continue to gain desktop markert share. I have writen instructions to manually add LTSP 4.2up4 to SLED so it is possible to get it working. http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/feature/17942.html Please assign someone to help build the MueKow modules for SUSE. Sept. 2006 (flash-player-7.0.68.0-1.2). When trying to install this patch with rug, I am asked to accept the license agreement. Since I have to maintain pool of desktop PCs, I'd be interested to install the updates unattended. With the appearance of this flash player patch, "rug up" stops now asking for a keystroke. Could this patch be reshipped without a license confirmation? For instance. I like the new way zen-updater informs the user about a not running zmd, but it should do that only if zmd is _really_ not running. I consider this a usability problem because the message "ZMD is not running" indicates that there is something wrong with zmd, requiring user intervention to make it run, although in fact everything is fine. Szenario: The local machine should import some filesystems from other hosts via smbfs or nfs. Afterwards these imported filesystems should re-exported to other clients in the network. Sometimes the nfsserver initscript starts to fast: not all remote filesystems are imported at this time. The result can be different warning messages or just an empty export directory. My proposal: the /etc/init.d/nfsserver script should look into /etc/fstab for network filesystems. However, after the next boot, the network card is not present. This is due to the fact that the module 3c509 is never loaded - even though the corresponding configuration exists in /etc/sysconfig/hardware. The entry is: /etc/sysconfig/hardware/hwcfg-bus-isa-00:02.00 it's contents: MODULE='3c509' MODULE_OPTIONS='' STARTMODE='auto' I have to load the module 3c509 in /etc/init.d/boot to make it work. Then everything works as expected (modprobe 3c509 in /etc/init.d/boot.local). This should not be neccessary IMHO. I appreciate to test anything neccessary to fix this.
