I pointed the exchange account at webmail.tudelft.nl (exchange 2003 on w23k). I pointed the gal at srv004.tudelft.net (w23k - Domain controller) Username DASTUD\astevens What works: everything except GAL What does not work: GAL Underneath Debug at level 4: Interesting part is (at least i think it looks promising) " GC: Connecting to ldap://srv004.tudelft.net:3268/ GC: Could not parse NTLM bind response: 0x31 " When i connect with ldapsearch I notice that the bind name should be DASTUD\astevens, cause with astevens or astevens(a)tudelft.net i get an invalid credentials error. So I tried that. Trace underneath I seem to remember evolution not parsing the "\" in the user credential on the GAL, but I may be off. When I add an ldap addressbook everything works as normal. Whilst it is possible to drag a file into the shredder it is NOT possible for an email to be shredded and Evolution Fails and an application restart is required. The situation was that I received an email that contained a virus and whilst it caused NO harm to Linux I thought it prudent to shred. - I was unable to do so. P.S it is also impossible to shred a directory from Konqueror only a file and will open another KDE bug if it has not been done already. Yelp reported that the XML helpfile was not well-formed XML. For example I run yelp from the command-line: yelp /opt/gnome/share/gnome/help/gnumeric/C/gnumeric.xml I wondered why yelp tries to load the DTDs from the Internet and disabled the network adapter connecting to the Internet. Running yelp again immediatley showed the correct help page. An strace shows that yelp looks for DTD in /opt/kde3/share/apps/ksgmltools2/customization/dtd/docbookx.dtd /usr/share/xml/docbook/schema/dtd/4.4/docbookx.dtd when there is no Internet connection. The second path is the correct one. When there is an Internet connection yelp only looks for the DTD on the Internet and when oasis-open is online this is very slow. It would be better if the behavior of yelp is configurable or yelp looks in the local path first for retrieving the DTD. This would improve performance and avoid errors, when oasis-open is down. Unfortunately, the detail view does not show the pattern description anywhere. Minutes Need to validate 'suspend to Disk after ?? is greater than Period Suspend to RAM Need to Validate 'Standby Mode After ?? is greater than either Suspend to Disk or RAM. Add Hotkey to activate Standby - suggest offer SHIFT + F? where user indicates which function key activates Standby Mode. Theory is that 101 Enhanced Keyboard has standard calls for SHIFT + F? keys and allows for other applications to come along and reserve SHIFT +F? key for other purpose. Utilise keyboard call already allocated 'Sleep' key on Microsoft Keyboard - to be the same as the elected standby mode allocated by the user and utilised by system - will make it tidy. Evolution will report an error when trying to save an attachment to a file: "Could not write data: Bad file descriptor" or "Could not write data: No such file or directory". The reason given can vary and each time the file is only partially written to disk.
