Just an update on this. Apparently, I'm getting a 'Grub' prompt when trying to boot off the SUSE CD or DVD. Seen that before somewhere, but not sure where or what to do next. Can't find any pertinent up-to-date installation documentation. At 15:59 21/04/2005 +0100, Gordon Smith said:

I'm not using any blind interface, but I may try to describe what shows at startup with grub. Grub is the boot menu from the cd, which shows on a first line: boot from harddisk. On the next line it shows: installation. On the next: installation - safe mode. On the next: memory test. There's another line, but I can't recall right now. I don't think grub is braille aware, so you can't read anything yet. If you just go down (arrow down) once, you should be on the installation line. Just press enter, and this will load the installer. When yast (Suse installer) loads, it also detects braille terminals, so you should read something within 1 min or 2.
