I don't know why the X server could not be started. Does it start on a non-autoyast installation?
You are correct. Even with non-autoyast installation the problem is there.
just a guess. Can it be that your linuxrc command line has more than 255
characters? Then the last characters would be cut off. Maybe that's it?
No, the entire command that I give at the PXE "boot:" prompt is: boot: *SLES9 autoyast=nfs://abc/home/static.xml* ** Do I have to include all the characters which are there with the "append" statement of "SLES9" label in the PXE "default" file?
Do you use SLES9 SP1? I just tested on SLES9 SP1 and it's fine there. Yes, I do. Thanks, Ajay
