We have the same Tyan running with 32GB RAM without problems under Suse 9.1. We don't even think about an update. Suse 9.2 should also work. - Do you have any strange PCI-hardware on the PCI-slots or are they free? You should remove any PCI-hardware.
- Did you tried some boot-options as 'iommu=noforce' etc. or simply the Save-Settings boot option Suse always installs?
I had an eventfull week on other hardware but loads of pci and interrupt related problems. These were all solver for me when I used pci=routeirq as an extra boot parameter. BB, Arjen
