Hi ,
I am new to the list...since I just bought an AMD64 based computer and I installed SuSE 9.1 x86-64 on it. It has an Asus A8V deluxe motherboard, and everything seems to work flawlessly except for the hotplug with an usb-stick. The USB-stick is recognized correctly by subfs, and i can mount it (as root). However, it never appears in the drives:// section. I tried to stop and restart the hotplug daemon with no success.
Since people apparently had this problem with another mobo, it is maybe the same kind of problem. Is anyone has been able to have hotplug working with this mobo ? BTW, I have the last kernel update installed with YOU.
I run SuSE-9.0 on my TP600E laptop and SuSE-9.2-x86-64 on my development box with A8V DL motherboard. On both machines a usb stick is mounted as scsi device, that is /dev/sda on my ldaptop and /dev/sdb on my devel box, the mountpoint is /media/sda0 or /media/sdb0. -Dieter -- Dieter Klünter | Systemberatung http://www.dkluenter.de GPG Key ID:01443B53
