Hi Milan, Try the -m32 flag for gcc, it will create object/executable for 32/bit environment (it will still run on 64-bit Linux) and then you can use the 32-bit libraries. Best wishes, Ödön On Tue, 2004-02-10 at 14:56, Milan Gabor wrote:
Hi again!
Ai did little bit more into config.log and found this: configure:4117: gcc -o conftest -g -O2 -Wall -Wl,--strip-all -Wl,-rpath,/usr/local/lib -L/usr/local/lib conftest.c -lsavi >&5 /usr/lib64/gcc-lib/x86_64-suse-linux/3.3.1/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/local/lib/libsavi.so whe n searching for -lsavi
It looks like .so is incompatible. Is this because of x86_64 platform and libsavi.so is not compatible. Is there anyway to solve this problem?
Here is more info about lib file: linux:~/build/sophie-3.04rc2 # ldd /usr/local/lib/libsavi.so /lib/libNoVersion.so.1 => /lib/libNoVersion.so.1 (0x556bf000) libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x556c7000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x56554000) linux:~/build/sophie-3.04rc2 # file /usr/local/lib/libsavi.so.3.2.07.046 /usr/local/lib/libsavi.so.3.2.07.046: ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), stripped

Hi!
I am trying to install Sophie on a machine with Sophos, but it has problems. ld complaints, that it cannot find -lsavi lirbary and fails.
How can I check if sophost library is working OK on Suse 9.0 x86_64?
Did anyone make Sophos work with sophie?
