I strongly disagree. I really love to see these ambassadors join. Feel free to ignore those introductions if you don't like them, but I do, and considering the number of people who respond to them it seems clear others like them too.

I agree with Jos, sending a friendly hi to new ambassadors is a great way to make them feel welcome. Why not say this publically? Of course they like to say hello, they are a new member of our growing team and they should say Hi! In what world did you grow up? Besides, the mails are send by AJ, not by them so don't act like it is their fault. AJ asked them to do this, and he was right in doing so.

No, then the team doesn't know who has joined and thus can't even welcome them.

So what all the other should tell for receiving 7 no wait 8 with my message included so far because of you disagree with the way things are? You could tell what you said private and not in public. Don't you understand that this way you make the person we are all welcoming feel bad? Don't you understand that you are in a community? Do you know what a community is? because from what I saw so far you don't seem to realize it. You ask for people to respect you but you don't respect anyone with your behavior. Please don't answer the above, those are rhetorical questions. Kostas P.s. TheMburu sorry for what is happening, usually we are not that way. Then don't read it. People are being friendly and welcoming, that is GOOD. If you think it's bad - well, bad for you.

Sorry for the inconvenient by the increasing mail traffic to give a friendly welcome to other people wishing to work for the openSUSE community. IMO and maybe just mine, I love when someone join these community efforts and everybody celebrate this as a renewal hope for all of us (make me feel we are growing beyond us, fulfilling it). Sure we can find a way to make these celebration less uncomfortable for other people like publishing a welcome page on openSUSE news section. -Ricardo Chung

It's a way to welcome a new ambassador and feels very nice to be announced in a general list. I do not speak English, but for every email that comes to me that I have my translator at the same time (I hope I understand what you sent) because I like to be informed and read the comments and proposals of the other ambassadors, so this is one of the best initiatives can have on the list. One way or another, I hope to collaborate and join the other ambassadors, helping as much as possible to the openSUSE project. Greetings
