I strongly disagree. I really love to see these ambassadors join. Feel free to ignore those introductions if you don't like them, but I do, and considering the number of people who respond to them it seems clear others like them too.
I agree with Jos, sending a friendly hi to new ambassadors is a great way to make them feel welcome. Why not say this publically?
