Hi Helgi,

Go to yast -> Adjustments of Installation-> Select keymap whatever you want The keymap is right as is, swedish keyboard (fi) and I switch to icelandic keyboard layout when needed in GUI.

Is set to: lat1-16.pdfu.gz in /usr/lib/kbd/consolefonts which, according to Mr Tor Sigurdsson, should do it but it doesn't. I still don't get icelandic or swedish symbols in console.

Now not that I know the answer 100% but this is what I have (I am using turkish which is iso8859-9) A)You have to tell the Xserver your icelendic and and sweedish fonts (in your XF86Config or you can manually do it with xset +fp /mysweedishfonyts/) B)You have to configure your keymap file for the Xserver (use of xkeycaps helped me series xap) The most important have had a look to the sweedish howto and or icelandic howto documents
