Thank's again Togan. What I needed was to put the unicode mapping table for ISO 8859-1 fonts 'iso01' in CONSOLE_SCREENMAP in /etc/rc.config, so now I have swedish and icelandic symbols in text mode. But there are still two problems left to figure out: 1. In a terminal in GUI I still don't have these symbols. 2. How can I switch between two different keymaps in text mode? Hi Togan & thank's for your concern.
CONSOLE_MAGIC is set to = <(B> and CONSOLE_SCREENMAP = <none>
I guess it's the screenmap i have to change but I don't know to what?
Well there are lots of console translation fonts under /usr/lib/kbd/consoletrans you amy want to try one them (the one you are looking for lat2.uni or the iso one for the CONSOLE_SCREENMAP
