[SLE] The New KDE2 file(s)
Well I am back to square one. A little while ago I installed the current version of kde2 using yast (SuSE64) and everything went well. No problems at all. But now with the lastest release from a few days ago I am having nothing but problems. Is there any instructions on how to install this latest release for SuSE64?? I used http://www.kde.org/kde1. It was excellent. Just wondering if it is adequate for the NEWEST version of KDE2?? I am following the instructions that worked for me, for the previous version and while I think it should work for the newest release I wonder if that is where my problem is?? Again , I am using SuSE64 and am installing the latest KDE2 using YAST. After it is installed I delete the older /home .kde2 directory and bring up the new version. It does not make a full directory of stuff as the older version does and there is NO BACKGROUND. The screen is just white/grey. Any further thoughts would be appreciated. Maybe I just have to uninstall all version of kde and see if that helps?? -- Ted Gervais Coldbrook, Nova Scotia Canada Email: ve1drg@fox.nstn.ca Phone: 902.679.2253 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
