[opensuse-es] Suspender a disco y control de brillo de pantalla en notebook HP Pavilion.

Gente, antes que nada se que son dos temas distintos, pero como están relacionados prefiero escribir sobre los dos en un solo correo, en todo caso si ustedes lo desean los separo. El tema es el siguiente: Empecé a leer sobre que podría estar pasando en mi notebook que no andaban las teclas "quicklaunch". Además de estas teclas tampoco me funcionaba la combinación Fn + "brillo" (en mi caso las teclas de brillo son F7 y F8). Viendo el log /var/log/messages veo que cada vez que quiero ajustar el brillo dice lo siguiente: kernel: [ 602.405832] ACPI: Failed to switch the brightness Mi kernel en ese momento era el 2.6.31 desktop Leyendo bastante encontré que a muchos les pasaba lo mismo, y en todos lados llegaban a la conclusión de que era un bug del kernel, que en las versiones anteriores no pasaba. Haciendo un poco de memoria recuerdo que ni bien instalé mi OS11.2 el control de brillo funcionaba perfectamente, pero como a los minutos de instalar actualicé me dejó de funcionar. Leí por ahí que hay un parche para solucionar este tema, pero como no sé mucho sobre recompilar o aplicar un parche al kernel opté por la solcución "a lo bestia", es decir, probé instalar el mismo kernel pero en versión "default". Lo instalo y luego booteo con dicho kernel y para mi bronca todo sigue igual... Resignado cuando estoy por reiniciar para arrancar con el kernel desktop (que según dice en el resumen del paquete está optimizado para este tipo de PCs) se me ocurre antes de hacerlo probar la opción de suspender a disco, que no sé si se acuerdan pero hace mucho que vengo peleando con eso y no logro nada, y es una opción para mi extremadamente útil y necesaria). Entonces prueno y... Boilá! funciona de mil maravillas!!! Ya puedo suspender a disco! Mis preguntas entonces son dos: 1_ Basándose en esto que les comenté, se les ocurre alguna otra idea para hacer funcionar la suspesión a disco en el kernel desktop? Digo ya que supuestamente rinde mejor que el dafault en este tipo de PCs... 2_ Alguna idea del tema del control del brillo? Leí por ahí que esperan que en la versión 2.6.32 lo solucionen, pero no se que tan cierta era esta información. En todo caso alguien tiene una idea de cuando saldrá ese kernel??? [opensuse-es] Quicklaunch buttos notebook HO OS11.2

Saludos nuevamente. Desde que instalé OS11.2 que no me funcionan los botones de acceso rápido. Anteriormente en la 11.0 me funcionaban perfectamente. Si dejo corriendo desde consola una aplicación y aprieto cualquiera de estos botones me aparece ^@ por cada pulsación, dándome a entender que detecta la tecla apretada pero que no hace nada. Traté de configurar en el centro de contol de KDE los accesos rápidos de teclado pero no funciona, es decir cuando quiero editar la acción, aprieto la tecla pero ahí no la toma. Ideas? Qué tal gente tanto tiempo? Mi duda en este caso s la siguiente: Estoy desarrollando una página web la cual realiza una búsqueda en una base de datos y muestra los resultados. Presenta primero un formulario con los campos Apellido, Domicilio, etc. y luego al enviar la consulta recarga la misma página con los valores que uno ingresó y presenta debajo del formulario una tabla mostrando los resultados. Es decir, si por ejemplo la búsqueda es: Apellido: Perez Domicilio: Lalala Otro: Lelele Al hacer click sobre enviar se cargan de nuevo esos mismos valores (los paso por POST) y se muestran los resultados. Eso anda perfecto. Lo que quiero solucionar ahora es que al recargar la página me deje el foco en el campo en el que estaba, lo cual me es útil para realizar reiteradas consultas cambiando un único campo. El foco por defecto lo cargo en el campo Apellido con la opcion <body onload="document.menu_busqueda.apellido.focus();">, osea que cada vez que hago una consulta el foco me vuelve sobre el campo Apellido, cuando en realidad lo que quiero es que el foco "se quede" en el campo en el que estaba (en realidad son más campos, solo puse 3 a modo de ejemplo). Espero se entienda lo que traté de explicar. hola estoy ejecutando desde script shell un comando concretamente esto: /home/bea/jrockit_160_05/bin/java -classpath /home/bea/wlserver_10.3/server/lib/weblogic.jar weblogic.Admin -url server:7001 -username web -password web GETSTATE servidor 2>&1 la ejecución directa de esto genera en pantalla esto: Current state of "server" : RUNNING Mi pregunta es como podría meter esto en una variable y luego saber si me llega la palabra RUNNING dentro? ¡¡Me mudo!! el lunes me caso con el banco y me mudo a mi nuevo piso aqui en Alcalá. ¿Que linea pongo en mi nueva casa? Potafone me da pincho USB (que seguro no va en Linux) Y ADSL 7Mb de bajada (max 4Gb mes luego 128kb) ahora tengo Oh-no! con 3 Mb de bajada pero en mi nuevo barrio no ha llegado y luego timofonica con su (alta de linea gratis) linea que luego te cobran a parte... ¿que me podeis recomendar? There are numerous things to be excited about with 11.3 as has been the case with every prior release. One of these is definitely the gtk interface to YaST Sotware Management module [2,3], much revamped since 11.2. It would be very nice of you to test this thoroughly for bugs, but also for usability issues and suggest improvements and peeves :) here and over at bugzilla [4]. In the following I would like to run you through some of the more notable changes in the interface. Please note that there is enough time yet to make minor modifications in the design if required. 1. Main interface revamp: The package-list shown by default is now categorised by (Packagekit) groups and further separation into "Available", "Upgrades" and "Installed" tabs has been done away with. Instead this has been implemented as a separate "Status" filter (below the Category box). By default this filter is set to "Any Status". Selecting the "Upgradeable" filter here for example shows all those packages which have upgrades from the subscribed repositories and brings out an "Upgrade all" button just below the package list. The package-list can now show various columns like repositories, etc. The columns shown by default are Tick-action, package-name, and package-version. Selecting a package for installation is now much easier. For packages that are not installed, check the tick-box to the left of the package-name in the main list and it is selected for installation. Installed packages are already ticked, you have to un-check it to have the package removed. The upgrade button appears just beside the version column for every package that has an update candidate. For such packages both the installed and latest available versions are shown in the version column. When one selects a package for installation/update/removal it brings up a summary line in the status bar along with an Undo button (that undoes this installation/removal request alone) and a link to a "Summary of changes" box [see point 2]. There is a menu-bar at top that largely mirrors the menu-bar in the qt version. 2. A "Summary of changes" box: that contains all the packages selected during the session for installation/update/removal alongwith Undo buttons for the manually selected packages. Selecting "undo" also applies the changes to the corresponding dependencies pulled in automatically by the dep-solver. This replaces the list of changes sidebar implementation which was a part of the package-manager in its 11.2 and previous avatars. Also with a button to access the "History" viewer [see point 3]. 3. A "History of changes" box: that is accessible from either the top-menu "Extras" or from the "Summary of changes" box. This shows the entire history of installed/upgraded/uninstalled packages, and subscribed/removed repositories, categorised conveniently by date (the full history-viewer in all its glory has not made it into M5, it should be in factory [5] soon however and you can already try it from svn [2] if feeling adventurous :) ). You can select a package and hit the "jump-to" button to switch to the package in the main interface and uninstall/re-install a removed package from there. This is in response to feature # 305859. It enables the user to look up a package installed, say, recently that he/she does not like or finds unuseable and remove it and the dependencies it pulled in easily. This should go extremely well if the Unneeded packages group is implemented later [6]. 4. When one switches to the "Repository" categorisation (left-sidebar, select Repositories from drop-down header), the button "Switch all packages to that from this repository" shows up just below the main interface. All the development work thanks to the yast2-gtk maintainers. Discussions pertaining to all points have been taking place at http://groups.google.com/group/yast2-gtk. There is enough time yet for your suggestions regarding the design and usability of yast2-gtk to be given thorough consideration for implementation. Hola, tengo una duda sobre los permisos y cambios de propietario en una particion. tengo dos discos duros, el segundo viene de una maquina que respalde, recien monte la particion, y viene en NTFS. Se que para poder escribir en ella tengo que modificar el archivo /etc/fstab, ya lo hice, y queda asi: /dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD800BB-00JHC0_WD-WMAM96589530-part1 /windows/D ntfs-3g user,users,gid=users,fmask=133,dmask=002,locale=es_ES.UTF-8 0 0 el detalle es que puedo mover mis archivos, borrar, crear carpetas desde nautilus, pero todo me aparece como archivo de solo lectura, viendo sus propiedades me aparece que son del root. Reinicie como root, y trate de cambiar los permisos, desde nautilus y desde consola con el chmod, chown, pero no se cambian los permisos, siempre se quedan como del root. si abro algo en openoffice, me lo abre como de solo lectura, y no puedo guardar nada desde esta aplicacion. escribi mal algo en el fstab? o tengo que hacer alguna otra operacion para cambiar los permisos de las carpetas y los archivos...
