--- Comment #9 from Daniele Palumbo 2008-12-01 07:17:41 PST ---
Other info:
i have installed a fresh ubuntu 8.10 intrepid,
then i've got the git version of today, made debian packages using
dpkg-buildpackage with diff from
http://ppa.launchpad.net/tormodvolden/ubuntu/pool/main/x/xserver-xorg-video-...
and doing prerequisite from https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RadeonHD
(note that i have to comment out the changelog row in debian/rules, that was
breaking the compilation)
than i have installed the packages .deb.
now on, i have X 1.5.2, and radeonhd git 20081201.
the monitor on VGA output is never seen with xrandr.
i see the usual exit: DVI-I_1/analog, DVI-I_1/digital, TV_7PIN_DIN,
DVI-I_2/analog, DVI-I_2/digital.
---
Other case:
gentoo, fresh install (friday or so).
got git of friday.
X is version 1.30.
i have both output working, but they are named:
DVI-0
S-video
HDMI-0
(as i said before, i have 1 VGA, 1 DVI, 1 S-video. ho HDMI at all.)
xrandr find out correctly the two monitor, but whatever i do, he think that the
two monitor are the same think.
with attached config, for example, i have in both monitor the right side of the
screen. but i know that there is a "left side" for 2 reason:
- the mouse is going in that "black zone"
- if i make a xrandr --output HDMI-0 --off in both screen i see the whole
monitor (that is right, anyway).
