Neither is what I want. How can have the nice previews with file info in Dolphin, similar to Konqueror's preview?
I don't see your examples. Sorry. I still use Konq as a file browser in KDE4, not Dolphin. I realize that Konq is really just another skin around the Dolphin libraries. So maybe I'm a dinosaur. I have preview turned on. It gives me a preview of the files that I have told it I want a preview of. Of course i have installed kdegraphics-thumbnailers kde-odf-thumbnail GimpResourcesThumbnailer There are others but I've chose not to install the ones for, for example, music. I have Konq set up so that it shows the previews ALL THE TIME, not just when mouse-over. Your graphic shows a preview plus 'file statistics' side by side. In KDE4/Konq these are shown separately, or at least that's the way I have them configured. There may be a setting for this, I don't see one, but I'd find pop ups like that as I move the cursor very annoying. When I want that information on a file, either I configure Konq so that its displayed along with name or I click and then select Action->Document information That gives me more than your example shows because I have it configured that way. Part of your problem is that ... You've bought a 4Runner and expect it to have **EXACTLY** the same cabin and controls all in the same position as you old Blazer. ${DEITY} knows what we'll do when you get your Diesel model and complain that it won't burn regular gas. -- /"\ \ / ASCII Ribbon Campaign X Against HTML Mail / \ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
