Yup, they CPUs are Xeon MPs, no long mode, so I'm stuck with 32bit and PAE. I'm pretty certain I had 12.[12] running on this box, so I might try a back-level kernel.
Have just booted with 3.1.0-1.2-pae, works fine.
NO..do not do that Per..never downgrade the kernel to a version LESS THAN what is included in initial release of the product.. other than the obvious fact it is unsupported.. systemd have particular kernel version requirements..
Well, in this case it made sense to verify if an earlier kernel would work. Anyway, it looks like this might be a packaging issue - when I installed the -pae kernel, it didn't automagically pull in kernel-firmware. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (17.2°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
