Try again, please, that instruction was perfectly opaque.
I saw an option to attach to an existing database, and offered
option of attaching to a spreadsheet, but that option clearly said it would open it READ ONLY.
Yeah, it opens the csv read only. That's what we want. You can edit

I can't. The DBs I created from the Attach to spread sheet is locked and can't be edited, not for structure or for content.
OK. I worked it out: In base opening screen:
What do you want to do? Create new database > Next > Yes, register the database for me > Open the database for editing > Finish
open the csv > edit > select all > edit > copy back to base: click Tables > edit > paste (give it a name)
choose all the fields > Next > Create > add a key if you don't have one
You can now edit everything:) L x
Ah, very cool. I never tried the paste option, because the csv was huge. If it was that easy, why haven't the LO guys made that an option after you connect to a csv, to save the content and disconnect from the csv. If they can read it in, they should be able to simulate a copy-paste. -- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail.
