I tend to agree that far from being "intuitive" the plus is the least understood part of the file management interface. Everybody from every background understands control-click or shift-click, but the plus is just out of place and not found any where else on any platform.
It really feels like you just wanted to make a point because of some hard feelings regarding KDE4 stuff.
I dont think that is a fair comment really this version of KDE 4.5.5 seems prety good there are a few little glitches here and there certain things that i would like to see made a user choice instead of it's there like it or lump it .
Just to make sure, I meant John's statement not your wish to have it configurable which is perfectly valid and as Will has pointed out the plasma devs worked on this apparently already. I just disagree with people that assume that just because they don't like something it is useless for everyone else and a complete failure usability-wise. Especially if they make it that easy to refute them, i.e. their arguments show more of a hard feeling than reasoning.
Still the complete address book thing is dire i needed to update a contact today and no way could i enter an address , this is an important application i need to manage several hundred addresses and it is hard going the way things are but still KDE 4.5.5 seems quite decent now compared with the former versions in the 4.x.x line ..
PIM is indeed an area where improvements are needed. So if you want to help please post the issues to opensuse-kde@ or file detailed bugs about them at novell's bugzilla. Chances are that Will might be able to help out. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
