[01-18-11 06:31]: Hello folks,
anybody understands this phenomenon:
mybox:~ # /usr/bin/zypper -qn install perl-https-daemon Package 'perl' not found. mybox:~ # LANG= zypper search perl | grep '^... perl ' i | perl | The Perl interpreter | package | perl | The Perl interpreter | srcpackage i | perl | perl: This update fixes a crash caused by the use ...| patch mybox:~ #
Why does zypper complain about the missing perl package when it is actually installed?
This is opensuse-11.3 with all updates installed.
zypper cannot find perl-https-daemon because it does not exist. Try: zypper -qn in perl-HTTPS-Daemon
Still, the error message about 'perl' not being found is misleading, at least. I'd suggest to open a bugzilla against zypper for this. Cheers. l8er manfred -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
