zypper cannot find perl-https-daemon because it does not exist. Try: zypper -qn in perl-HTTPS-Daemon -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Still, the error message about 'perl' not being found is misleading, at least. I'd suggest to open a bugzilla against zypper for this. Cheers. l8er manfred -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It is looking for the RpM package "perl" with version "https" and release "daemon" as last resort and does not find it. (e.g in the usual NAME-VERSION-RELEASE form, usually more like: perl-5.8-1.1) Ciao, MArcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Yeah, this seems to fix the problem. But shouldn't it complain about not finding perl-https-daemon instead of perl package, then? BTW: Why does zypper need to be case sensitive? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
