Just installed (fresh) 11.3 x64 / KDE on new hardware - Core i5/4gb. The background of the main panel doesn't seem to have picked up a proper background - is just grey/striped. Don't recall that as being normal.... How can I configure it? Thanks, John.
Just guessing... you've got desktop effects switched off? If they are off you get a solid or partially striped panel background (depending on the desktop theme). If it's on, you get a semi-transparent or completely transparent panel.

Hmmm, possibility... will check when I get home (as I said, fresh install, so maybe desktop effects isn't on...) Thanks, John. If I recall when I did a fresh install many moons ago (I've overdue for an upgrade) I had to turn on the effects once I installed the nvidia drivers. I don't think they go on by default.
Picked in one! Thanks, John. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
