This may not be a good idea for a number of reasons. "Brand loyalty" aside, can they now sell off "ATI" (brand or entity) when they hit hard financial times?
What is there to sell?
All they are doing is moving the line into their own brand under the AMD label. Once they have that done, selling three letters with no technology behind it gets them nothing.
Yes, that's my point. By absorbing ATI and 'abolishing' the brand, they can no longer sell it off. -- Your skid stops here. (Seen on back of lorry) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
