Did you try to copy your old xorg.conf file?
In a previous thread it was mentioned that an old xorg.conf can not replace 11.3's:
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2010-07/msg00010.html
I have not checked if it is really like that as I don't have 11.3 system yet.
Would it be possible to build an sax2 rpm for 11.3 from 11.2 sources?
Istvan, I did just that (11.3, nvidia): copied old xorg.conf (even from 11.0). Important thing: if you worked with nvidia closed source driver on the source system, install it before running X with copied xorg.conf on the target system. Also there is a user who built Sax2 for 11.3. I do not remember the URL by heart, will check it when I'm back home. But you can try searching oS repositories.
